The How-To Foldable is a one of a potential series for how to take care of yourself before, during, and after a tattoo appointment. Being a tattoo artist, I wanted to create an instructional guide that could be of use at the shop I work at, Capital Ink. In doing so, I incorporated the shop logo as well as a visual language that is associated with tattoo calligraphy and the textures found when being tattooed. All designs and numerical typefaces are self-made ink-drawings that have been scanned in and recolored on Adobe Photoshop. The poster features one of my tattoo works that I photographed in the ACM photo lab.
